Background :
-
The history of VVS has been a balance between inspiring vision and a pragmatic approach.
-
A few families from North Karnataka, after the re-organization of states, came to settle in Bangalore. They couldn’t find a good school in and around Rajajinagar, which made them unite for establishing a school to meet the educational requirements of their children.
-
The institution formally began on Balipadyami day of Deepavali in 1957 in Anjaneya temple at Juganahalli. Even to this day, it is celebrated with all piousness and gaiety. It was registered under the society’s registration act in 1959.
-
Once School was established, the immediate need was to mobilize the right type of dedicated people who would officiate a Sangha and guide in administration and educational aspects.
